Meet Dr. Steffan
Steffan is the second youngest among five siblings, hailing from a rural Midwest background. Growing up on a family farm, he dedicated himself to raising Black Angus cattle and Christmas Trees. His academic journey took him to the University of Minnesota Dental School, where he graduated at the top of his class. Steffan’s exceptional performance earned him the esteemed Dinh Quan Award for Excellence in Endodontics. To further hone his skills, Steffan pursued specialized training in endodontics at the renowned University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC). There, he earned his Master of Science Degree in Oral Biology, benefiting from the program’s exceptional surgical training and early exposure to microscopic endodontic care, dating back to 1993. Steffan’s commitment to lifelong learning led him to become an active member of the ADA (American Dental Association) and AAE (American Association of Endodontists).
He actively participates in continuing education and maintains memberships in the Seattle and Spear Study Clubs. Passionate about sharing knowledge, Steffan has lectured extensively across the Midwest and at his alma mater, UNC. Following his graduation, he established his own practice in Bismarck, North Dakota, which grew into one of the leading endodontic offices in the Midwest during his ownership spanning 17+ years. When not practicing dentistry, Steffan indulges in his love for history, travel, music, and spending quality time with friends and his two sons.
However, his true passion lies in old cars. He enjoys both driving and restoring classic automobiles, making numerous connections within the hobby. Encouraged by friends in Texas, Steffan decided to sell his successful practice in North Dakota and relocated to Lubbock, TX, in 2013. For the past eight years, Steffan has been dedicated to serving the West Texas area, aiming to provide the highest level of endodontic treatment and care. With a deep-rooted love for his profession and a commitment to his patients, he looks forward to continuing his service for many years to come.
